Located On The East Coast of Australia: Melbourne
Hi! My name is Laurah. I fell in love with Maine Coons the moment I laid eyes on the breed, they are truly the most majestic cats. I attended cat shows to understand the standards, met some amazing breeders, and started our journey by registering as a recognised pedigree breeder with ANCATS and adopting our first Queen, Stormy. (Anjayma Sweet Pea).
Angela, from Anjayma Maine Coons, has been a brilliant mentor to me over the past few years. Guiding me through the world of health, genetics, pattern and colouring, what to look for in a breeding cat, raw feeding advice, the endless document requirements, and much more! I wouldn't be where I am today without her and I am very grateful.
I managed to convince my family to come along for the ride, and now here we are, over 2 years later, and our second litter is on the way!
How do we manage it all?!
Our kittens are raised inside our home in a family environment just like our three Queens, Stormy, Salem, and Torrie.
We've had one successful litter in February 2025 from Salem X Ghost, they were all Cream Silver and Red Silver, "The Weasley Boys.' They are all so gorgeous and I love receiving updates on them from our amazing families!
Christmas of 2023 we fostered a litter of Maine Coons for a couple of weeks before their home time and it was an absolute blast! Then again last Christmas in 2024 we fostered a second litter of Maine Coons (from Anjayma Just A Diva) from 2 weeks old. Recently (Oct 2025), we have just started to foster our third litter at 16 days old (from Anjayma Girl On Fire) two little gorgeous deep red kittens.
My mentor, Angela, has given me these amazing opportunities to learn and experience the highs and lows whilst our cattery is still early days and litters are rare. My family and I have enjoyed every moment of it!
Love, attention, and loads of playtime are the key elements for nurturing kittens to be well-socialised. This has helped them greatly when they've settled into their new homes. Some families have told me that from the moment they brought their new family member home, it was as if they'd always belonged there. Best news ever!
Our kittens are very familiar with noisy kids, the washer, dryer, vacuuming, and loud music as our kids love a good dance party.
And yes, that is Steven Meserve with our Salem! (Anjayma Runaround Sue). We were lucky to show off some of our cats at the 2024 Steven Meserve X ANCATS Melbourne show this past July. Salem came second-best Maine Coon in Show. *squeals*
Thriving Heritage
Stormy, Salem, Torrie, and Ghost come from Anjayma Maine Coons. They all come from long lines of beautiful, healthy Maine Coons. Wolfie was Ange's first ever stud cat, bred by Dr Truda Straede from Icecoons Maine Coon Cattery. He has the best temperament in the world (and no I'm not exaggerating!) He has sired many gorgeous babies and is part of the reason all of our lines have such excellent temperaments.
Our cats have a friendly placid temperament, they all love pats, and most of them love a good snuggle! They thrive in our home environment with abundant space, surrounded by their loving humans.
Our cats are healthy and meet breed standards and expectations. (Find out more on our health page about what specifically we check for).
We will continue to upkeep this standard as we focus on breeding beautiful balanced features and an excellent temperament.

Maine Coons are often likened to dogs as they are intelligent, curious, and loyal. They typically have two modes: be close by, snoozing, or be close by with a toy in their mouth, staring at you, ready for a play!
Try teaching them some tricks, you may be surprised at the outcome.
Our son is pictured here with our Stormy (6 months old), he came first in his second Junior Handler competition. He adores Maine Coons and is involved every step of the way. He'll happily chat your ear off about their genetics, like how excited we are that Ghost carries double dilute genes!
